First Edition Science Challenge
Theme: Earth Science 🌍

Get ready to showcase your scientific brilliance! The NextGen Innovators Foundation is excited to announce our first-ever Science Challenge. This is your chance to turn your curiosity into a world-changing project.
Create a simple, at-home science experiment and record a 3–5 minute video of your process and findings. The total cost of your experiment should not exceed $50, encouraging you to be resourceful and use materials you can find around you.
We're looking for the brightest young minds! This challenge is open to all children aged 8 to 14.
All participants must have parental or guardian consent.
Theme and Judging
This year's theme is Earth Science, but you are welcome to explore any scientific area you're passionate about. Projects that align with the Earth Science theme will receive bonus points during evaluation.
A panel of renowned scientists and educators will evaluate your submissions based on:
- Originality and uniqueness of the idea
- Creativity in your presentation
- Scientific understanding and method
- Clarity and effectiveness of communication
- Social Media Engagement: Once your project is live on our gallery page, share the link on your social media. The entry with the most likes on our website's gallery page will automatically secure a spot in the Top 5 Finalists!
How to Participate
1. Record Your Experiment
Make a 3-5 minute video of your experiment.
2. Upload to YouTube
Upload your video to YouTube. Be sure to set it to public or unlisted.
3. Submit on Our Site
Starting September 18, 2025, visit our website to submit your video link and a short 100–200 word explanation of your project. The submission window closes on October 17, 2025.
If you are participating as a group, only one child can register the project. During the submission process, that child must list the full names and ages of all other participating kids to ensure everyone gets the recognition they deserve.

Competition Rules
- Videos must be 3-5 minutes long.
- Experiments must be safe and supervised by an adult.
- Participants must use clear, respectful language.
- All submissions must be the participant’s own work.
- Only one entry per participant or group.
- Social media posts to promote your project must be made within 3 days of submission.
- Judging decisions are final and binding.
